Aircare offers SpectrumFX fire extinguishing agent

Tacoma, Washington (PRWEB) May 04, 2015 — Aircare International announced today that it would begin offering an aqueous-based class-D fire-extinguishing agent as part of its aircraft safety product line to combat in-flight lithium battery fires for business and commercial aircraft.The company will sell the LIFE Kit® manufactured by SpectrumFX, which includes a biodegradable, non-toxic, class-D fire-extinguishing agent called Firebane®. Firebane is proven to extinguish class-D fires in multiple applications, which is burning metal, and is more effective than water at cooling a lithium battery pack that has gone into a dangerous overheating state known as thermal runaway.
